Why do you maintain this site?
Because I love the music of Van Dyke Parks and I love talking about the music I love.
Do you get paid for it?
Nope.
Are you in contact with Van Dyke Parks?
Yes, him and I e-mail each other rather regularly.
Can you forward something for me to Van Dyke Parks?
There is an e-mail address on the front page, please e-mail him and he will tell you where to send something.
But that can't be his real address!
Err, yes, of course it is. It's the one I use when talking to him as well.
Does he actually answer e-mails?
I know he answers fan e-mails pretty often, after all that's how I got in touch with him in the first place. However I don't know if he always does.
Why do you update this site so rarely?
Unfortunately I'm rather busy with work and uni, so I can't afford to update the site as often as I wish.
Can I contribute a review or some information?
Where can my son/my daughter and I get the songs from "Harold & The Puprple Crayon" on CD?
Can you send me a copy of...[insert: MGM singles, soundtracks, Rykodisc bonus tracks...]?

As of writing (Jan ´08) no CD with the songs from this popular children's TV series has been released. There is however discussion about a possible release going on - I'll keep you updated on this project on the main news page.
I don't send out illigitimate copies of any VDP music, but I have spare copies of some 45s for trade, so e-mail me about them.
Oh, thanks for asking! I still need the stock copies of "Ode To Tobago" and "The Eagle And Me".
